In this module, we introduce the concepts of the course Organizational Development for Volunteer-Based Initiatives.

In this module, we will define what is a Mission Statement and a Vision Statement and review why they are important in attracting people to your organization. These statements allow you to establish what your organization does and why you are doing it.

In this module, we will present four strategies to help you identify the long-term impact you want to have in the community. Once you have defined your long-term goals, we present a process for identifying shorter-term outcomes and the resources needed to achieve them.

In this module, we will discuss how to attract more people to contribute to your organization through value alignment, identifying motivations, investing in relationships, and asking for feedback. This covers people who volunteer for your organization, may be on staff, or contribute to your organization through monetary or other donations.
